Plan and review
Read and export a historical cap table
Choose an as-of date, ownership basis, and option-pool setting in Cap Table, then export an ownership report that explains its assumptions.

Choose the company and reporting date
Open Cap table and check the selected company. Use As of to choose the date the report should represent. The view recalculates ownership from the dated records available in the company. Use Back to today to return to the current view.
A historical view is useful when comparing ownership before and after an issuance, transfer, or financing. Start with the day before the event and then select its effective date. This helps isolate the change without editing the working records.
Choose the ownership basis
Select outstanding or fully diluted ownership. Outstanding counts issued share certificates. Fully diluted also includes the app’s counted options, RSUs, and warrants. The Include pool control applies to the fully diluted view and includes available shares from open equity plans.
SAFEs and notes appear separately as convertible instruments. They do not enter the ownership share denominator until conversion. An unvested option can count toward fully diluted ownership even though it is not yet exercisable.
Read Authorized, outstanding, and fully diluted shares for a numerical comparison of these measures.
Explain differences between reports
- Compare the company and as-of date.
- Match the ownership basis and pool setting.
- Check issuance, exercise, settlement, cancellation, and transfer dates.
- Check whether a funding round converted any SAFEs or notes.
- Check for a stock split between the two dates.
Reports before a recorded stock split read in pre-split units. A larger share count after a split does not necessarily mean that a holder’s ownership percentage increased.
Export the selected view
Choose Export CSV for a spreadsheet-readable report or Print report for a printable version. Your browser’s print dialog can save the report as a PDF. Inspect the report’s date, basis, and pool treatment before sharing it.
The report reflects the records currently available for the chosen effective date. It is not a frozen copy of what someone saw on that date: later corrections to historical records can change the result. Use History and company backups when you also need to understand when a change was entered or retain a particular version.
